The Plugstreet Archaeological Project Harmonica

Harmonica This Harmonica was found in the German line not far from Ultimo Crater, a personal possession of one of the soldiers, it is easy to imagine him playing a quiet tune, the haunting strains drifting across the silent battlefield. Personal accounts from the Great War tell of music in the trenches, the most famous being the carols of the Christmas True of 1914 which took place in this part of the line.
