In the command bunker we are still smiling… It is all going very well and the team are mostly well-behaved!!!!!

The local TV came out today to interview Martin and Paola about the site – Paola is the better looking and speaks French! Look out for us on a Walloon television set near you!

    Hi everyone on the dig.

    So sorry that I cant make it but alas, I could not find anyone to pay for another trip to Europe for me this year.

    How are my Lewis gun pits going? How are the patte baguettes?
    How the hell do you hope to drink the bar dry without any Australians there?

    Following last year’s excavation, I wrote an article for an Australian journal called ‘Teaching History’. I will see if I can get it posted online and will send the link this week so that people can download it if they like.

    All the best- I’ll be checking the blog regularly.
